Mechanical

This is the theme for Wide Wednesday hosted by BobsBlips.   This clock, dating from the 1930s, was my father's before it was passed on to me.  It is mechanical, having to be wound up with a key regularly to keep going.

I was up early this morning as we both had a dental appointment in Stratford.   No action needed but the hygienist gave them a good going over.  From there we went to Morrisons to pick up a couple of things and get ourselves a very nice lunch from the help yourself bar (food not alcohol!).

Finally a detour to the post office to send our annual pressie to Australia. 

Incidentally,  the two photos in the picture are Ann's father and my mother, both passed on but remaining in memory.
