Tunnel Vision

Took a run inland and upwards to the  Flam railway  which has been on my list for a while.  To get there we had to take a bus to Arna then train to  Myrdal then to the Flam line. All trains and busses ran like clockwork.  The Flam line was spectacular Nd amazing that they also had a road with 21 hairpin bends for cyclists! At Flam we had lunch, plootered about for an hour then took the bus all the way back to  Bergen,  some 3 hours and 40, yes you read it right 40 tunnels through the mountains.
All we have is that dripping piddling rat infested Clyde tunnel which you can hold your breath while driving through.  These are real tunnels through mountains that go on for miles.
It would ake you weep to think what Scotland could have achieved if it were independent and had used it's oil money.
As for now Scotland is forever mired and as part of the corrupt westmonster system we will never become what Norway is. The opportunity has been lost and in all seriousness  we can forget the entire independence route! Scottish politics is almost every bit as bad as its southern neighbour.
I have no answer to our problem save that we've missed the bus and folks like me can only look at Norway in envy!
