The Carrington Pump House
When Bobs challenge this week is mechanical, you may be wondering why I have blipped the Carrington Pump house also know as the Carrington Hydraulic Engine House. Well, the short story is that this housed the mechanics that powered the hydraulic cranes on the Eastern side of the harbour, it was the first use of the technology in the country. It was completed in 1877. More about it here if you are interested together with some earlier photos of it when it was in action.
This is a 3 image pano stitched in LR and tinkered with to try and get the perspective right which alas is a fail.
Thanks for hosting Bob.
