Storm Debi ( declared a red alert level for many counties ) ragged last night but we were lucky, we kept our electricity and found the few stray compost and bin lids that blew away. Many thousands are without power or flooded, poor Galway got a right dose. The government announced schools must start at 10.00 to allow for all the tree clearing on the lanes to make the journey safe .
