Storm Debi
We were woken up during the night by the sound of a ferocious wind. The rain was hammering against the window.
I found it difficult to sleep as I began worrying about some of our special plants .
Luckily there was no damage. Our tall hedges seem to have helped protect most of the garden.
But oh dear what a grey wet day. The wind stayed very strong all day. Too strong to contemplate taking Fletch out. He went into hibernation mode.
About 4 pm it finally stopped raining and the wind seemed to drop so I grabbed the lead and took Fletch out before it got dark.
The sky was an unusual pinky gold colour in the north east. .. the wrong direction for a sunset. It made a blip photo at least.
We re back to walking the streets at this time of the day. Interesting to look at the houses that have already put up Christmas decorations! A little too early methinks but then again many people need something to cheer them up so why not.
I hope everyone escaped the brunt of the storm
