After Debi
Angela and I managed a dryish walk around St Ives between showers this morning. It was good to be out after a couple of days kept indoors by the awful weather. We bumped in to Michael from Pilates as we set off on our circuit and he told us that, following Storm Debi, several trees were down at Lady Blantyres, the apex of our walk. There are still lots of leaves and colour in the more sheltered parts of the estate but the remaining trees up here where the woodland has been majorly felled are clearly vulnerable now they are more isolated. I think we counted at least seven here across the path and other smaller ones further up the hillside, always a shame and I quietly thanked the trees for their service as we negotiated their fallen trunks and branches.
