Rain drops
There’s more industrial action on Britain’s railway network but, around here, most trains are running. I didn’t even think to check when I hopped on my usual Tuesday carriage to Twickenham. It was only then I discovered my regular connection to Staines wasn’t scheduled to run today (not technically cancelled as it’s not on today’s timetable). So I had to wait a little longer for the Reading train. This has fewer stops than my regular train so only about ten minutes later. I am not sure if my alighting passenger count of 9 is, in any way, comparable to last week’s number.
We popped across the road for coffee but opted for the faster drinks from the barista machine rather than wait for the drip coffee. Back to the office for the AC review meeting. I had to give a summary of the product status. I felt I didn’t have a lot to say. I might make some notes for the version I have to do tomorrow because I want to summarise the slide. Good discussion on the Content Ingest piece of work. I am pushing for some user friendly behaviours rather than just technically working but I think we are more-or-less there.
I was quite happy to leave to make the reverse train, in spite of standing on two platforms in the rain.
Home in time to make a lovely Thai Red Curry Chicken Thighs with Courgette and stare at the summer rain landing on the garden table.
