Celebration

Saturday evening saw one of our bi-annual neighbours get-togethers. We always celebrate the new year in at one or others homes, and, in June, we have a barbecue. In June we have four birthdays which has recently been augmented with the arrival of the first grandchild for Nik and Val - spookily on the same date (6th) as Pete from over the road and Pauline next but one the other way. Nik celebrated his recently and it was mine Friday.

Unfortunately, the weather was not playing ball so we spent some of the time under cover before retreating indoors.

I arrived late after having to pick Jamie up at the end of his second full days work. Jonathan scooted off to his mates for a sleepover.

As usual, it was an evening of great laughter and merriment. The girls quickly agreed to another spa day, this time with an overnight stay! This looks like being a regular event!!!

Val arrived later due to the late departure of the last round of players at the golf course that Nik and Val run, but, she came with a couple of bottles of champers to celebrate the safe arrival of Emily - mother Zoe and baby doing great.

Mel from next door arrived very late indeed and quite exhausted after working till 10pm.

A quiet Sunday is planned.....
