Parramatta Lights

Parramatta Night Lights is born. The two night event to promote lights around Parramatta ( a Sydney Suburb) began tonight. While not a big event I am sure it will grow next year.

The Blip is of the Lennox Bridge.
Lennox Bridge is a stone arch bridge in Parramatta, Sydney, Australia.

It was designed by David Lennox and constructed with convict labour over the period 1836 to 1839, making it one of the oldest bridges in Australia. The bridge carries Church Street, the main street of Parramatta, over the Parramatta River.

This was Lennox's third bridge, his first two being the Lennox Bridge at Glenbrook, completed in 1833 making it the second-oldest bridge on the Australian mainland, (the oldest being the bridge at the base of Devines Hill at Wisemans Ferry on the Great North Road, which was completed in 1829-30) and the Lansvale bridge, completed in 1836.
