Norman

After a fairly lazy morning we went to visit Norman who used to be the Chief Steward (responsible for the security of the Scottish Crown Jewels) at Edinburgh Castle working with Neil when he was the manager there.

Neil nominated Norman for his MBE and he was happy to show us the photograph and scroll he received when he was presented with what he refers to as his gong.

Norman visited us a number of years ago to achieve his childhood dream of visiting Rorke’s Drift and Isandlwana.

We had a fantastic together then, when he brought a wealth of historic information and the excitement of being at a place special to him.

Today was no different, lovely hospitality, and some absolutely terrible jokes, telling them being one of his fortes.
