Forgotten Manuscript

The love of Music.
I found this manuscript book amongst a pile of sheet music at a salvos store, All sheets and books were $1 each, a price reflecting little value. This was a manuscript booklet of hand written sheet music.
I write sheet music also and treasure the calligraphy of it as the notes are created on the stave.
How sad it was to be discarded so. Someone prepared this book with care and love of music. But so beautiful that it survived till now, hiding and awaiting my rescue !
It probably dates from the 20s, 30s or 40s, Im guessing.
The "Song of Australia" is what we sang every day at primary school in Hamley Bridge in the late fifties.

You can see it was written with fountain pen / ink and the ink from the backing page has stained through. The whole book is like that which is a little pity but still Im glad its found a home where it will be treasured.
