3AM on a Wet Sunday morning
After a good day meeting up with the kids, having a tour of the sites and catching up with a few people we were exhausted. I fell asleep quickly then in the middle of the night in the cold and pouring rain the accommodations fire alarms went off........GREAT.
We head outside fully clothed I might add to find some stupid b**** has left her room with nothing but a rather small towel for her rather large frame and is huddled up against a wall....WTF.
There is no way I was evacuating anywhere without my camera so I took the opportunity to blip the fire engines that turned up. When we eventually got back in it was another 15 minutes before the alarms where turned off.
Today we headed out to Pegasus golf club with all the kids and there partners for lunch. What great food they do there with awesome service. Currently sitting in the airport waiting on our flights back home to Auckland.
Our conclusions from this trip are, we are glad we have left Christchurch as it feels so depressed. In the six months since we left it seems to have lost some of its spark, people need to see more buildings going up and there city looking less like Beirut and more like NZs second city
