Autumn colour

Having finished the main structure of the fence today we’ve been fixing the feather edged boarding.

Each board must be cut to length. I do the measuring and marking and Nigel cuts it to length. When we add the boards I hand the equipment and nails in the correct order and Nigel makes sure that they are added in the correct place and hammers in the nails.

We didn’t quite finish as the light was going and it was raining heavily. As we were finishing the neighbour gave us a bottle of wine to thank us for our hard work.

I’m now really tired and I’m going to sleep well.
