To close for comfort

This is Oily leaving the coal yard at four o'clock after a busy day driving the excavator. He's closely followed by Richard Cranium in his Ford van , they like one and other like the devil likes holy water.  Oily hopes to pick up his girl friend later for a fish and chip supper, and a blast up the local by pass. His girl friend likes riding two up.
