Armistice day 2023

Back in 1918 at 11 am on the eleventh day of the eleventh month WW1 came to an end. They told us that it was the war to end all wars. They could not have been more utterly wrong.

The poppy in the photograph is a crystal sand-cast, designed by Sarah Peterson and made by Caithness Glass, to commemorate the outbreak of the First World War.
