The Eleventh Hour of the Eleventh Day

… of the Eleventh Month 1918.  Armistice Day.  A wreath laid at the Cenotaph here in Wanaka.  Extra - a handkerchief that my grandfather sent to my father on 21 February 1915 when my father was nine years old.  Grandfather was stationed at Limerick, Ireland.  We still have the accompanying letter.  He was killed on the Somme on Christmas Day 1916.
