Lisbon Street Art

Just came back from the most amazing Street Art Tour of Lisbon, three hours up and down the hills, in and out of alleys and bairros, with such a knowledgeable, kind, funny guide. If you ever come or return to Lisbon, can't imagine a better way to get into the spirit of the place, not to mention learning about all sorts of street art, from tiny, hidden pieces, to enormous murals. Highly, highly recommended.

I took 107 photos! Chose this one, by a Brazilian artist, mainly to show the dead rat that appeared when Mike and Laith moved the bins so we could see it better. Mike has shown two more of a beloved poet and "champagne activist", Sophia de Mello Breyner Andresen, one side done by an American and the other by Vhils, a Portuguese artist, famous for carving his art into the layers of a building.

Gratefuls:
- eventually deciding to come a day early to our meeting in Lisbon tomorrow, and doing this tour that I've been wanting to do for ages
- Laith, the guide, a Palestinian (with good Jewish friends), such a loving and lovely guy, not been here long, but so passionate about what he's doing at the moment
- coming back on the famous No. 28 tram, almost door to door, don't think I could have walked one step more, plus it was raining, plus the tram was fun - it's on my WhatsApp status!
