It's been a busy old day!

My human is tired! I'm tired!

I went on a lovely walk up Blackford Hill and through the Hermitage this morning and then I had 'home alone' snooze time while Ann went to a memorial lunch at the 'Swanston Brasserie' in memory of her friend, K, who died a year ago. It was actually quite depressing. None of the humans are getting any younger are they? All the people who Ann had lunch with today.................. she taught with 40 years ago. When Ann was '20 something' in the 1980s, she never even thought about what her life would be like in her 60s. Now she's actually wondering if she'll still be alive in another 20 years time??

40 years ago when Ann met up with friends, they talked about men, activities they were doing, nights out and social events. Now they talk about death, ailments, funeral plans, cancer, who's on what medication and the NHS!

She made a will in 2005 (when she first got 'MollyCollie' to ensure she was looked after). She's in the process of updating that will and also sorting out 'power of attorney', which is actually quite complicated because as all our regular followers will know; we try to live between St Ives & Edinburgh and legal things in Scotland & England are totally different.

Oh well, ho hum, lets just hope my human doesn't drop down dead in the next few weeks. If she does....................... the only thing she cares about, is that I get properly looked after. Ann's sister, Sue, has agreed to look after me if that should happen. Phew!!!
