Poppies On Thirsk Clock Tower

We had a trip out to Thirsk this morning. We had a good wander around the town and along the riverbank and Mrs madwill called into to a couple of wool/fabric/craft shops … she didn’t find anything to buy there!

As we waited to cross the road in the market place, I noticed the clock tower adorned in a fabulous display of poppies for Remembrance Day. It looks great in the sunshine with some blue sky above, so I grabbed a quick phone shot of it!

We decided to have lunch out and ventured into the fish and chip cafe just behind the tower and we had the ‘Senior Citizen Special’ … fish, chips, mushy peas, bread and butter and a pot of tea. It was lovely.

Not done much else today!
