13 today

He s made it to 13 . Considering that a year ago we had so many close calls we didnt think hed make 2023 we are delighted. 
I put it down to the help from Archway Vets. 

At the moment Fletch is doing well and  has more energy than he did a year ago. He still loves a good nap but enjoys his walks and today he has had a good day. 
The car needed its interim service and so we went up to Penrith.  
We  walked into town and aimed for the Lemon tree. The plan was to have lunch but every table was taken. So we had a wander through the church yard  ( see extra) the Autumn colour was magnificent.
We had a stroll through the town for half an hour and then tried the Lemon tree again. This time all the 'outdoor' seats were empty. 
The Chicken Caesar salad was no longer on the menu which was a shame but the food we had was good . 

We had another wander round the shops  (mostly just window shopping but nice to see shops that were open! )

 Fletch didnt flag all afternoon! 

I was hoping for clear skies and a possible view of the Northern lights on the way home but the clouds got thicker and soon it was pouring. 
 with rain. 
At least it was dry at the right time
