The Caped One was balladeering these three singularly unimpressed and slightly embarrassed ladies when he spotted me with Jools hovering behind. He lurched aross, ignored me and headed straight for Jools, who wasn't sure whether it was Elvis coming to croon or Count Dracula looking for an early dinner.

Whatever, Elvis sang, Jools blushed, and both posed for a photograph which you will never see, for reasons more or less elucidated yesterday . . .
