Pit pony

We were taken out for lunch by friends today to a Bangladeshi restaurant in Loandead in Midlothian, a few miles to the south of Edinburgh. The food was excellent.

The town is, like many in the area, an old mining town and some of the statues reflect that. This is of a pit pony. In trying to research the statue I came across a link to a blipper who commented on it in 2015.
