Christmas Tree, Plaza de la Opera

Bb was up and out early to work all day in IESE Business School, Madrid.

We brought our little travel kettle with us, so I was able to have coffee in the room this morning. Yay! It makes such a difference to the start of the day and very few places, even big hotels here, include a kettle.

I watched an excellent webinar late morning on de-coding in listening and then headed out for a wander. I got back to the hostal around 5 and then out again to meet Bb on Plaza Mayor around 8pm. He went there straight from IESE.

After a wee wander, we ended up in Taberna Real, one of our favourite places, at the bottom of our hostal street, on the corner of Plaza de la Opera. Easy, cos it’s 2 mins away from the hostal and an old traditional place with good quality tapas and waiters who have worked there forever.
