Surprising light!

Today it's been a drab dull and cold day, but early this morning there was a short period of winter sunshine and this scene caught my eye.  This view a century ago would look exactly the same as this view today, it's why I like it.  With trees now losing their leaves I rather like the shadows of the tree on the building to the left.  On the minus side, I clipped the top of the chimneys off which is a pity.  I went for walks later on with my camera, but the quality light was gone.
