Lonely Leaf

The weather has been very unpleasant today. The colourful Japanese maple tree in a neighbour’s front garten has lost almost all its leaves by now; just like many others. This is one of the last few still hanging on to the branches.

I‘ve been busy all day, tidying up some neglected corners, and starting to tackle the backlog of paperwork. But it doesn’t feel like accomplishing much. At least I went for a walk with P, and we got rained on quite a lot.

My car is at the garage now, for its yearly service, TÜV (the German version of MOT) and to get its winter wheels. All that will take until tomorrow afternoon, and the garage gave me another car to try out until then. It’s a so-called „crossover“, like a smallish (electric) SUV with a lot of electronic gadgets, but it still feels like a proper Chelsea tractor. Way too big for me.
