Batsford Blipmeet
Mrsfb & I had a very enjoyable blipmeet at the arboretum, good to see steveng & Gill, hildasrose & Rob (& tramper), and chrispybox again.
We had bacon butties to start, cake later. I posted images on the camera club WhatsApp group to show them how a camera meetup should be conducted. One reply asked if I had been on a food photography workshop. In between meals we did manage to have a walk around. We were very lucky with the weather, hardly any rain until we were ready to leave.
On the way home we stopped off in Stow as there was a valuation day organised by an auction house. We were hoping to get a valuation for the gold sovereign I blipped a while back. We sat down in the queue for about 30 minutes before we decided to leave. There were three people in front of us, and we realised each person seemed to have a large bag of items to offer. While we waited the lady who was being seen to at the desk just kept bringing out more and more items, and went into a long conversation with the expert on each one. I think if we had stayed we would have been there for hours, with just our one item.
One year ago:
The Bell
How strange we'd been in the library exactly a year ago, and that was where the valuation event was today.
