My oldest friend, Ali and her daughter came over today and bought me this beautiful orchid. It's on my bedroom window sill and I will look at it in the mornings having tea in bed. Ali and I go back a long way - 35 years to be precise and still get on brilliantly. She's a graphic designer and is very talented. We'd not seen each other for nearly a year which is silly, given we only live 25 miles from each other.... We are going to get together later this summer for a long weekend :)
