Snow Leopard

Today was another very warm sunny day, (a high of 78F, 25.5C), though quite breezy. I thought it would make a good day to go down to the zoo, and see the animals while they’re all outside. Several of the animals were napping when we saw them, such as the Painted dogs, lions and the hippos, but others were fairly cooperative. I chose the Snow Leopard with his beautiful markings for my main blip, to fit the Wide Wednesday challenge of an odd number, but I’ve put a collage of some of the other animals in as an extra. Unfortunately in this photo, the snow leopard was behind glass, and there is a bit of reflection in it, so not a perfect photo. The zoo is currently working on several new areas, a new larger area for the elephants (apparently they have just acquired four new ones), a new area for otters, and a new area for the bears. According to the signs, they’re all supposed to open in Spring 2024 - from the look of things currently, they’ll have their work cut out!
