Barging in.....

This evening, as I stood patiently in the checkout queue at the supermarket, an elderly woman marched to the top of the line and plonked her single purchase (a bottle of champagne) on the conveyor belt.

'I'm sure you won't mind,' she said to the chap who should have been next served, 'I'm in a hurry.'

He politely informed her that there were at least four people ahead of her, and asked that she go to the back and wait her turn.

'I'm in a hurry.' she repeated loudly. 'I've been made an OBE!'
