The Hendrix Ex-purrr-ience

Introducing Dan & Emily's affectionate cat, Hendrix

With a half day at the Office in the bag, we embarked on our journey up north for a whistle-stop weekend tour.

Thankfully I can report the traffic was no problem whatsoever, & so we arrived in good time. Jenny & her sister Emily then took off to go see Bon Jovi in concert at the Stadium of Light in Sunderland, they're a favourite of theirs & were quite excited. That therefore left Dan & me with the evening to ourselves, & with out much further ado, we concluded that it was perfect time for a drink!

We set off on the short walk into Northallerton town centre to sample some of the local ales in a few of the local pubs. And yes, Black Sheep is a very nice, smooth beer. Later on the in the evening, after we'd enjoyed a few drinks & some of the 'warmth' from the setting sun, we wandered back, ordering an Indian takeaway from one of the locals, well, it is Thursday after all!

The food came quick as & was very nice. Dan introduced me to The Walking Dead, a zombie apocalypse TV series, & I'm hooked, much to my zombie hating surprise! I'll just have to fit that in alongside Breaking Bad now. You'll be pleased to know we even managed to fit in a couple of games of Zombie Call of Duty before the girls got back! Well played.

Oh & the girls had a good night too!
