New Bird Alert

Normally this is a photo I’d toss BUT it’s the only one I got of this female purple finch!! They’re not uncommon in Maine but we’ve never had one visit here. I’ve been on the lookout for the male all afternoon. Photos of them are breathtaking but I’d prefer to see one. Fingers crossed! • After a busy morning we’ve settled in at the table to start a new puzzle. I also have a veggie soup on the stove • Our house is a very, very fine house, with two cats in the yard and purple finches in the trees :) • Voting day here in the US. Holding my breath for the results… • May there be Peace on Earth one day soon
