Oo - it’s wet…
… Water everywhere!
I had to go through the park because owing to the felling of a tree my path to work was closed.
It’s been a busy day today, and at last (!) a lovely plumber (found yesterday) arrived and has, we think, solved our hot water problem. It’s probably too soon to be jipping and skumping for joy, but we’re feeling a lot more hopeful than we have all week.
And, he was cheerful and clean (not about his person (!) but regarding the state he left is in). He can come again, but not soon I hope.
We also had a couple of loved visitors to the madhouse while all of the above was occurring. (One yooman, one canine).
And, something I could have done without.. One of the Elderlies was having a visit from the dentist (for new dentures. Why don’t Care Homes label dentures???? Is it impossible? Don’t start me. Apparently it’s not their job to keep an eye on dentures. ‘The residents are always picking up the wrong ones’. Of course they are!!!
Words fail.
I just know I wouldn’t wish ‘the wrong teeth’ on anyone. You could weep).
Nuff said.
Rant over.
