Last of the autumn colours for us?
We don’t get back until the very end of November when I expect all the leaves will have turned and fallen off. However, it was a very fine late autumn morning as we completed a few more jobs before we leave for an overnight stop at Heathrow tomorrow.
Thank you for all your kind words about yesterday’s news about our band mate. It’s very sobering and reminds us, if we didn’t already know that we have to make the most of every moment.
That news was just one of three events that happened yesterday. Good job we’re quite resilient but each one has its own impact.
Still the packing and last minute jobs to do, as there always is. I’m always anxious that a I’ve made a simple but catastrophic error which will cause massive problems. The ESTA is in order, passports, flight details, insurance documents…
There was a heart stopping moment when the taxi firm rang just before 4.00pm to say he’d be a little delayed taking us to Heathrow. After a brief moment of panic I checked the confirmation email and it is tomorrow.
