Jam
Did I see him leave with the others or is he still up there?
The tree feller fellas arrived as planned, and after we'd all agreed the ridiculousness of the situation, set off culling the conifers. They're all really nice, guys, personable, polite and very chatty. Two of them I'd met before, and two were new. One arrived a bit late as he had to do the school drop off and one of them was very interested in my veggie plot. The one who'd had to do the drop off - Ben - spent pretty much five hours attached to a rope up one tree or another. I'm surprised he had any circulation in his legs at the end of the day.
They;re back tomorrow to finish off. They were visibly wilting by 3pm, its a tough job and they didn't stop. Hopefully the wind and rain holds off.
The kit kats aren't impressed. The garden has been full of NOISY, strange, men all day and apparently smells funny. There's lots of territory marking going on.
And for those who missed it, yesterday's link was Down In The Tube Station At Midnight - a song by The Jam , released in 1978.
