We left the beach at Albatax in the morning after a walk up to the tower. It was a gorgeous day, after a swim in the sea, v short and a soak in the spa, the trip up the tower was adventurous with lots of ladders, but what an amazing view.
We drove on the fabulous SS 125 road, which heads over a 1000 m pass and through fabulous hill top villages. We spent a long time driving all on slower back roads. A lot of the island inland is full of cork tree plantations. We were heading for just north of Olbia, for the last night, near Porto Cervo. We got there when it was already dark, to a v posh B&B suite. Lovely and spacious, and with the only restaurant open in the area just down the road. It was an amazing restaurant and the best meal of the trip.
