Pickle Night

Weather is still pretty grim and we are getting reports in the local media of the damage. Parks and cemeteries remain closed with trees down, the effort is going to get the roads and footpaths clear and people moving.
Boats broken free from their moorings and are washing up on the foreshore or wherever the wind and tide takes them.

The evening was spent with another branch of the Royal Naval Association, the Redruth & Camborne Branch, celebrating ‘Pickle Night’. In the Navy officers traditionally celebrate Trafalgar Night on or near 21st October whilst the Senior Rates celebrate Pickle Night on or near the 4th November.
Great evening, pasty + tot of rum, what’s not to like.
