On this beautiful morning there was only the sound of cows in a nearby barn and geese on the pond and the rustle of the leaves as we gazed towards the Lammermuirs.  Last time we were here was the day before lockdown in 2020 when we walked from Longyester  to Hopes Reservoir and then up Lammer Law which still had patches of snow.
