Day 6

Well, there wasn't really a Day 5, apart from the electricians coming out to survey the job and tidy up a few circuits.
Today, the new front door went in, the first-fix electrics in the kitchen were completed, and plans were laid to put down the floor substructures in the kitchen tomorrow, as well as receiving the plumber into the house.
Close examination of the wall behind what had been a false chimney breast in the kitchen has revealed this relict sketch of the original hot water cylinder's plumbing configuration.
