What a Triumph!

There is something about having a decorator in the house that makes you feel as though you can't get on with your normal life.  He turned up this morning and even though all he has done in our bedroom is the preparation including filling cracks and painting primer on the walls, it already looks better than the awful yellow paint put on by the builders.

W had a walk into town this morning and I went down this afternoon to get something I needed for this evening's meal.  While down there I spotted this car; a Triumph 2000 which, from the registration plate, I know dates from between August 1971 and July 1972.  It was in good condition although clearly with a new paint job.  The interesting thing is that at the time, this was considered a large and 'high end' car, but seeing it parked next to a modern car that we would probably think of as a small hatchback shows how much cars have grown over the years.
