Cabbage Trees or Cordyline Australis are common around these parts and they are in flower with these big clusters of cream flowers.  I have several in the garden.  The new word for the day is inflorescence.  That's what the cluster of flowers is called.  By standing on the deck I could be at eye level. 
I'm glad you all liked yesterdays blip of the busy sparrow collecting fur.
