Too many good candidates and cooks in the kitchen

I'm out here at 8:00 am to choose the winner of the coveted Memento Plant of the Week award. It can't be done. They are all winners. I must, however, give an honorable mention to Creeping Thyme for its sheer tenacity and ability to spread regardless of how much you hack it back to uncover your carefully arranged stones and un-strangle other plants. Its fragrance alone could stop an elephant in its tracks and it forms such a dense mat that weeds don't even try to sprout in it, not even those despicable maple helicopter seeds.

Mr. M and I proved yet again that we make a good team when it comes to fixing things; I figure out how to fix it and he does it. A small plastic bar on the electric lawn mower snapped, causing the lever that turns it on and off to detach. A drilled hole through the housing, a long screw and bolt and voila, a trip to the repair shop was avoided.
