Bonfire Day

This year's annual allotment clear-up day fell on November 5th, so it was both Bonfire Day and Bonfire Night. Not that we did anything involving fireworks and fire this evening. It it is the only day that a bonfire can be lit at the allotment and it did create a lot of smoke given how damp all the leaves and foliage was  that everyone had been cutting back and collecting. The morning's toil was helped by coffee and cake and it was good to see so many plot  holders pitching in. Mind you, what I had expected to be doing at 9.00 am this morning was to be sat at the computer anxiously trying to get on the See tickets Glastonbury site to get tickets for next years festival but the ticket sales have been put back 2 weeks because people hadn't realised they needed to make sure their registration  was still in date. I mean, they can't be serious Glasto-goers if they didn't check this!
