Black sky, sunshine and shadows

We set out on our afternoon walk in bright sunshine, but the threatening black clouds sneaked in while our backs were turned. We got home before any rain appeared.

I liked the variety of autumn shades around us. It reminded me of some of the stunning scenery of the past week.

If previous years are anything to go by, there'll be no fireworks to frighten the animals tonight in this neck of the woods. Fingers crossed anyway.

I wonder if it'll be Adam's turn to leave the dance floor tonight...
