Old Pale

We went for a walk up Old Pale this morning unaware that a marathon (and half marathon) race was taking place.

I walk up Old Pale quite a lot so know what a tough hill it can be. Imagine my surprise when we asked a Marshall what was going on and he told us about the marathon and that the runners had already done 15 miles by the time they had to run up and over Old Pale. I can only imagine how tough that must have been!
