Picture

This picture was painted on the side wall of a shop in a small country town called Northam, we drove here today for our weekend "escape to the country" about an hours drive from the coast where we live. If you go large you can see the brick behind the Picture also a boarded up window and the sill that has been painted over, also the footpath.

The picture depicts a typical farmer or (Cocky as they are known as here) tending his sheep with his faithful red heeler dog by his side, his house in the background and the red earthed path leading to his front door "his castle", the waterwheel and water tank also a typical feature of life in the country. And there is that blue sky again! Although the actual sky today over Northam was definitely not blue but very grey and overcast!
