500th Blip.
I am feeling quite excited to have just blipped my 500th consecutive photo.
It is a cold, sunny day here in Rishton, Blackburn, Lancashire. The heavenly blue sky with fluffy white clouds inspired me to be open to whatever the Spirit sent my way to blip.
I thought it could be some pink poppies that I have watched unfold from the green buds to the wind swept fallen flowers.
Yet all along my blip walk I kept coming across neighbourhood cats who seemed willing to pose for me.
Today is special in another sense.
It is the Cat Birthday of my first childhood tom cat, Mischief.
He was so loved and treasured and as a child he was always there when I needed reassurance.
He was a strong ginger tom with white beard and socks.
He did not like being picked up, which as a child I often did, and got scratches up my arms as a result.
I think animals have tremendous healing capacity as I am sure many blippers will agree.
They love us unconditionally.
Cats are naturally intuitive and independent, two qualities that resonate with me.
So a big heartfelt thank you to all who visit my blips and write kind comments. I appreciate your friendship and look forward to seeing your blips and following your journals.
It is so nice connecting with people all around Britain and the wider world.
I have thought a lot about beauty as a result of the theme I work under. To me, there is always something new and beautiful to discover.
Beauty is an expression of the God Force or the Divine Creative Energy in people, plants, animals, the environment and weather.
My little camera and I have been through many weathers since starting blip, and that in itself has expanded my understanding of how the different forms of life adapt and survive in diverse conditions.
I have lived in Rishton and brought up my family here since 1989 and value the friendships we have made.
My own family, Mum, sister, nieces, cousins, etc are all in the south, mostly Surrey and Hampshire. I miss them lots and try to go home to them once a year.
In case anyone is wondering how they can enjoy today a bit more, Accrington Carnival is on today, so if you live near, pop along and see all the floats and bands and have a great Saturday.
