2023 Saturday — Mitzi Fritzy

Today has been a rather slow do nothing day. Our former son-in-law, John, happened to be in SoCal this weekend; so, he stopped here fairly early this morning to see us and our daughter, his former wife (and I completely forgot to get a photo with all of us).

Then the remainder of the day was very low key. I walked with Mr. Fun down the street a couple times, but he’s moving quite slow and he tires very quickly. He needs to “push” himself (as his doctor advised). His nature is not to push himself. So this is agonizing for me, but I am not him and I’m not dealing with a body that has an abused heart and abused kidneys from fluid retention. So little-by-little hopefully he will increase his strength with perseverance.

Several times I was in the backyard today with the two pups, and Mitzi gets to be my blip star. She’s become quite a ragamuffin in her old age. She has lots of bumps and warts, so I try to keep a shirt on her (a onesie purchased at a thrift store for 25¢).
