Too pretty to eat

Why does food taste better when it’s pretty?
We rode to a neighboring town ( 50 miles away) to our favorite little Thai place. Today, the owners were there and the food was exceptional! So beautiful! This was a coconut milk soup with chicken and veggies. J got his usual fried rice with veggies and pineapple. It was beautiful too. It’s the little things, isn’t it?
