Fighting for dominance

Rubbish photos but I had to blip them to document the fight I saw out the windows! Still haven't washed the windows, but the bucks were moving so fast that I don't think it would have made much difference in the quality. I've seen bucks fighting on tv in rutting season but never in real life. We've seen plenty of bucks chasing does over the years but never expected to look out my window as I was cutting veggies for soup and see these two. I grabbed the camera and just snapped away, no time to worry about focusing. I had the setting on mono, can't remember why. I kicked myself afterwards for not thinking to take a video, although they covered a lot of ground and I might not have been able to get a decent one anyway. Quite a bit of the field on the side and front of the house is chewed up from the action. I was surprised by the noise made by the clashing of the antlers and heads. I watched for about 20 minutes until one chased the other one into the forest. I was thrilled to witness this!
