Workers Film Festival at Panora

I saw a new film ”Last night at Kiruna’s ”Folkets Hus”

They are moving a whole town because of the mining. But there will be no ”Folkets Hus” in the new center, just a Concert Hall for established artists and shows. There will be no money left for the lokal culture. I think that they’re making a big mistake!
The ”Folkets Hus” movement started more than hundred years ago when there was a need of places for meetings and studies. There and then started a lot of educational associations - the foundation for the democratic society.
